The Colombian Association of the Metroplex was founded on January 27 of 1991, and in 1996 was incorporated as a non-profit organization.

The mission of the Association is to unite all the Colombians living in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metropolitan region with the goals of promoting and maintaining the rich Colombian culture and traditions, and to establish a fund and a forum for the mutual help of the members and for charity and humanitarian causes.

The Association's headquarters is the residence of the President. From the beginning the Colombian Association has promoted our heritage through many cultural and social events.
